The broken leaf results from the third leaf and particles from the remaining leaves, it is a less aromatic but softer tea.
Orange Pekoe is obtained from the terminal bud and first leaf of the shoot which is very tangled, black and resulting in a rich infusion, with delicate perfume and flavor.
The Azores Home Blend is the first tea of the year (contains all the leaves of the shoot), has a genuine flavor and was inspired by the homemade production of tea that still remains in some places on the island.
